Where do we ship to?
Koehndesign ships across Canada. Some exceptions apply.
COVID Delays
We continue to experience longer than usual shipping times for your orders. ETA stock dates are more fluid than ever due to the global manufacturing, shipping and supply chain disruptions. We will communicate and update you as we receive information regarding your order. We appreciate your patience as we work to serve you in a timely manner.
Lead Times
Koehndesign Decore items such as lighting, furniture and art ship directly from the distribution center to you. You’ll be contacted within 48hrs of placing your order with an approximate timeframe. This is based on stock availability, distribution and shipping.
Once your item has shipped you'll receive a tracking number to follow the package. Orders with multiple items may have more than one tracking number with varying arrival dates.
Shipping Costs
Shipping fees are a base flat rate. Some oversize pieces may be subject to additional shipping charges due to size and distance. If your order requires extra fees, you will be contacted within 48hrs with a quote for approval.
Standard Delivery
STANDARD DELIVERY IS DOORSTEP ONLY. The delivery person or team does not enter the home or assemble the furniture. If you live in an apartment or condo building, it would be brought into the lobby and no further. Other than beds and dining tables, most of our larger furniture pieces come fully assembled. Please ensure you are able to bring all furniture pieces into your home. We are happy to provide white glove service if you prefer this option.
Small and medium sized Items are shipped via Courier (Purolator, UPS, Fedex or Canada Post).
Larger and oversized items typically ship with a freight carrier and/or third party delivery company. Carrier or delivery will depend on location.
White Glove Delivery
We can provide a white glove delivery service for your convenience- reach out for more information on this option.
Oversized and heavy items are not guaranteed beyond main floor entry for liability reasons. Please reach out to us directly for all questions regarding delivery of your furniture.
We will contact you prior to delivery to ensure you have no further questions about the arrival details.

Please reach out to us if you have any specific details we should know about prior to shipping and delivery.
Please ensure items being ordered fit through and into their desired destination prior to ordering. Double check doorways and stairwells. If you have any questions about size please don't hesitate to ask. Additionally, if you would like us to add a signature required, please let us know! We are here to help in any way to ensure this process is as smooth as possible for you.
Delays
Delays in shipment or delivery can be caused due to holidays, busy seasons, weather or various other reasons. These delays are out of our control. Thank you in advance for your patience.
Stock
Many of our items are in stock- however we are unable to guarantee stock availability on everything. If you purchase an item that is out of stock we will contact you with an estimated restock date, and keep you closely informed. Please contact us for stock inventory and specific lead times prior to placing your order if needed. We will update you and communicate openly with you about all availability of our Shop items.
Rural Location
Please note if your delivery is going to a rural location you may be subject to additional shipping charges. We will gather a quote and send it your way after placing your order for approval and payment, we will ensure you have as much information as possible leading up to your delivery.
Sales Tax & Tariffs
Canada
Orders shipped within Canada are charged applicable provincial sales taxes.
Unfortunately, as of May 5th, 2021, some items being imported into Canada are now subject to a newly instated SIMA tariff. This import tax applies to all real leather upholstered seating including, but not limited to, armchairs, sofas, sectionals and benches. This is also out of our control and we will communicate these totals with you to the best of our ability at the time of ordering. It also includes all upholstered swivel chairs, recliners, and ottomans made in China or Vietnam. You can review the investigation here and the government's preliminary determinations here. We do not ship to P.O. boxes.
International Shipping
If you live outside of our typical shipping area please contact us for a quote or to coordinate delivery to your freight forwarder. Koehndesign is not responsible for any transit damages incurred with the use of a Freight Forwarding company.
